Honest answer: how fast is “background” sync?
iOS doesn't let any app run non-stop in the background — including the expensive ones. Here's what actually happens: when something changes in your Google Contacts, our server sends your phone a silent push that wakes the app to sync. Combined with iOS background refresh, changes typically sync within the hour, and always instantly the moment you open the app. Any app that promises more than that on iOS is overselling.

How does background sync actually work on iOS?
iOS doesn't let apps run permanently in the background, so we're honest about timing: changes typically sync within the hour via silent push wake-ups and iOS background refresh, and always sync instantly when you open the app.
Do my contacts pass through your servers?

What happens on the very first sync?
You get a full preview before anything changes: how many contacts will be added, updated, or merged on each side. Nothing is written until you confirm, and a local backup is taken first.
Can a bad sync delete my contacts?
The app has a deletion guard: if a sync would delete an unusually large number of contacts, it pauses and asks you before proceeding. Automatic local backups are kept so you can restore at any time.
Does it work with Google Workspace accounts?
